Pain management procedures
Carpal tunnel injection
Carpal tunnel injection is a procedure performed for carpal tunnel syndrome, when the median nerve is under pressure. The doctor injects a combination of a local anaesthetic and a glucocorticosteroid into the wrist area.
Before the procedure, there will be an appointment with the doctor. The doctor will assess your health status and decide, whether the procedure is necessary.
Nerve block injection (targeting nerve or area around the nerve)
Nerve block injection is a procedure that involves administering a local anaesthetic, together with an anti-inflammatory drug (if necessary), to relieve pain and/or to determine its cause. The procedure is used for therapeutic and diagnostic purposes, as it allows targeted treatment of a specific nerve or nerve plexus, thus reducing pain across a larger area.
