Water aerobics is a type of water gymnastics where the session is accompanied by music and is performed at a faster pace than regular water gymnastics. The duration of the session is 45 minutes, which includes a warm-up at the beginning and is followed by an active workout that ends with stretching exercises. A combination of various movements and dance steps are used. In addition, force exercises are incorporated into the workout. The main task of water aerobics is cardiovascular strengthening and improvement, resulting in a faster and improved metabolism.
