Ultrasound therapy

Ultrasound therapy is the implementation of high-frequency, low-intensity sound for treatment purpose. Ultrasound heats up tissues with high collagen content such as tendons, joint capsules, ligaments. It has pain-reducing, relaxing and anti-inflammatory effects. The ultrasound procedure softens and helps old scar tissue and adhesions to be absorbed. Ultrasound treatment with ointments or gels is called phonophoresis. The service requires a referral letter from a doctor. The service is subject to a fee.
