Paraffin wax – ozocerite therapy

The therapeutic effect is a combination of heat and the mechanical action of the paraffin-ozocerite’s (earth wax) chemical effects. The therapeutic effects of ozocerite are similar to those of therapeutic mud, but ozocerite is weaker and has a higher heat content than thermal mud. Indications are subacute and chronic diseases of joints, abdominal cavity adhesions, chronic diseases of peripheral nerves, gynaecologic chronic inflammation (e.g. ovarian inflammation, adhesions), bronchitis, pneumonia, trophic ulcers and post-trauma rehabilitation (fractures, various ruptures). Is particularly well suited to persons who do not tolerate mud treatment. The service is subject to a fee.
