A family medicine centre is the primary contact with the health system for a person with any heath issue.

The Family Medicine Centre of Medicum (Perearstikeskus  LLC) was established on 17 January 2000. It is one of the largest  family medicine centres in Estonia and concentrates family doctors with a total of 18 patient lists – 15 in Tallinn and 3 in Harju County. Professional and experienced doctors and nurses provide high-quality medical care to more than 31, 000 patients.

The advantage of the Family Medicine Centre is that family doctors can refer patients to various specialist consultations and necessary diagnostics within Medicum. Medicum has all the modern laboratory, radiological and functional diagnostic equipment.

Patients are guaranteed to receive the best modern options for diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and follow-up.

In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 the  Medicum Family Medicine Centre was awarded a best practice award.

The award is issued by the Estonian Society of Family Doctors and assesses the availability of medical care, organisation of work in the practice, quality of treatment including disease prevention, medical care continuity and cooperation with patients.

Medicum Family Medicine Centre is a centre for practical education for University of Tartu Faculty of Medicine students and family medicine residents as well as students from the Tallinn and Tartu Health Care College.
