Cervical cancer screening
30-55-year old women are called for this screening every 5 years, in order to prevent cervical cancer. A PAP smear is performed for screening, which allows for discovering cellular changes in the cervix at an early stage, when they can be removed. For patients insured by the Estonian Health Insurance Fund, the investigation is free of charge.
Insured women who have not had a PAP smear done in the previous year are called for the screening.
In 2021 women with the following birth years are called for cervical cancer screening: 1956, 1961, 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986 and 1991.
Please register for a visit with a midwife for a PAP smear.
