The doctors and midwives of Medicum’s gynaecology centre are waiting for you at Lasnamäe Medicum and Port Medicum.

A family school operates at Lasnamäe Medicum, where the entire family can participate in lectures related to pregnancy, birth and the health of the baby and the family.

Make an appointment to see a midwife for:

  • counselling (beginning of sexual activity, prevention of sexually transmitted diseases, family planning, prevention of unwanted pregnancy including the selection of a suitable contraceptive device, menopause disorders, vaccination against cervical cancer papillomavirus)
  • prescription for a hormonal contraceptive device
  • registering your pregnancy
  • advice and assistance during pregnancy (pregnancy, childbirth preparation, information on social services)
  • advice and assistance after giving birth (gynaecological examination, breastfeeding consultations, selection of a suitable contraceptive device)
  • screening of cervical cancer (for EHIF-insured patients, according to birth year)
  • help with simple gynaecological disorders (e.g., bacterial vaginosis, candidiasis)

Make an appointment to see a gynaecologist if

  • you wish to have a preventive gynaecological medical examination (recommended once a year or if you have a different partner)
  • you have a gynaecological ailment/disease
  • you have infertility problems
  • you need an initial prescription for a hormonal contraceptive device
  • you wish to implant/remove an intra-uterine contraceptive device
  • you wish to abort a pregnancy (with medications)
